Gangtok Tour Package - Package Itinerary

After arrival at Bagdogra airport or New Jalpaiguri railway station and meet with our representative and they will meet you with warm welcome and proceed you to Gangtok. Before reach you will stop for lunch at any highway Dhaba/ Restaurant later you will continue your journey to Gangtok. After reach Gangtok you will transfer to hotel and you may have full day free at your leisure, in the evening you will visit nearest market or Lal Bazaar for shopping. Overnight stay with dinner at Gangtok Hotel

 

Day 01: FOOD

Lunch: You may have lunch at any nearest Highway Dhaba or Restaurant as per your choice - Excluded

After breakfast you will visit some famous places of Gangtok which includes Phurchachu Hot Springs, Nathula Pass and after that you will visit Masala Restaurant later you will visit Rumtek Monastery and Tashi View Point, in the evening you will come back to hotel. Overnight stay with dinner at Gangtok Hotel

 

Nathula Pass: Nathula Pass, located at a distance of 56 km from Gangtok, is a pass on the Indo-Chinese border. Serving as a trade link between India and China, this park also once served as the main access for Sikkim-Tibet trade.  It is richly surrounded with alpine flora. The road winding down the Chumbi valley can be seen on a clear day. Chinese soldiers on the other side of the barbed wire can be viewed from the international border.

 

Tashi View Point: Tashi View Point constructed by the King of Sikkim, Tashi Namgyal, is located at a distance of 4 km from Gangtok. Adorned with a park on its top, this view point is one of the best places in entire Sikkim to enjoy beautiful view of Mount Kanchenjunga. The Tashi viewpoint is an interesting way to avail panoramic views of the city of Gangtok right up to the Nathula. Seeing the Kanchenjunga from here is sure to be a lovely experience.

Deer Park: Deer Park, also known as Rustamji Park, is like a sanctuary to different species of deer, which are brought from neighbouring states and other parts of Sikkim. You can also spot here other animals such as the Himalayan Bear and Red Pandas.  The Deer Park also houses a statue of Lord Buddha standing erect and preaching the noble truths to the followers. This entire scene depicts the reminiscent of first sermon of Lord Buddha at the Deer Park located at Sarnath in Uttar Pradesh.

 

Do Drul Chorten:  Do Drul Chorten Constructed by Trullshi Rimpoche, head of the Nyingma order of Tibetan Buddhism in the year 1945, the Do-Drul Chorten or Stupa is one of the finest monasteries of Gangtok. There are 108 Mani Lhakor (Prayer Wheels) around the Chorten, which are turned by devout Buddhists while chanting 'Om Mane Padme Hum' (O Jewel in the Lotus) to invoke the Bodhisattva. Do-Drul Chorten is a must visit place for nirvana seekers, history lovers and photography buffs. The Chorten Stupa is marked by a golden top dome. This golden top can be seen from various places in Gangtok.

Do Drul Chorten Constructed by Trullshi Rimpoche, head of the Nyingma order of Tibetan Buddhism in the year 1945, the Do-Drul Chorten or Stupa is one of the finest monasteries of Gangtok. There are 108 Mani Lhakor (Prayer Wheels) around the Chorten, which are turned by devout Buddhists while chanting 'Om Mane Padme Hum' (O Jewel in the Lotus) to invoke the Bodhisattva. Do-Drul Chorten is a must visit place for nirvana seekers, history lovers and photography buffs. The Chorten Stupa is marked by a golden top dome. This golden top can be seen from various places in Gangtok.

Rumtek Monastery, located at a distance of approximately 24 km from Gangtok in Rumtek, is one of the most important sites for almost every Buddhist. This monastery was originally built in the 16th century, under the supervision of Wangchuck Dorge and with the financial assistance of the fourth king of Sikkim. There is a Golden stupa located inside the monastery, which encompasses the relics of the 16th Karmapa The monastery is also known as Dharma Chakra Centre and is surrounded by green, calm and serene hills. It is one of the most revered monasteries of India after those in Dharamshala and Tawang.

 Ban Jhakri Falls is a water fall located in Gangtok, This spectacular falls plunges from a height of 70 ft amidst lush green surroundings. Ban Jhakri Falls Energy Park, a well-maintained park has been built here.  One can also make a quick visit to the Ranka Monastery as this place lies on the route to the falls. Ban Jhakri falls is one of the most popular and well visited spots located Gangtok.  The falls are situated at a distance of 5 kms from Gangtok. The entire premises are well laid out with pathways and a foot-bridge over the water stream for tourists to walk around.

Seven Sister Waterfalls in Gangtok is located 32 km away from the city. It is a must see place in Gangtok. All the seven waterfalls aligned sideways one after the other is a wonderful sight to catch and during the Monsoon season these falls come to a fierce life. It is the ideal place to spend some relaxing time with family.  Some other places you can visit while in Gangtok include Tashi Viewpoint constructed by the late king of Sikkim, Tashi Namgyal. Only 4 Km away from Gangtok, this place allows visitors to have a good view of the pristine hills beside mount Kanchenjunga.
