Jaisalmer Holidays: Itinerary

Day 01: Arrived at Jodhpur airport or railway station and proceed Jaisalmer (285km/6 Hours)

Arrived at Jodhpur airport or railway station and meet with our representative and they will meet you with warm welcome and you will proceed for Jaisalmer which is 285 km far away from Jaisalmer. After reach Madla Khurd which is 139 km far away from Jodhpur, you will stop for lunch at Saffron Adventure Restaurant later you will continue your journey to Jaisalmer which is 146 km is felt from Madla Khurd. After reach Jaisalmer you will transfer to hotel for freshen up and having some rest, in the evening you will visit Nathmal  ki Haveli, Salim singh-ki-Haveli , Patwon ki Haveli and  The Golden fort or Sonar Killa later you will drive to hotel. Overnight stay in Jaisalmer hotel.

The Golden Fort or Sonar Quilla: The Golden Fort is a monument worth visiting and worth retaining in your conscious mind. Like various other cities of Rajasthan, in Jaisalmer too you will find different facets of its own glorious heritage. Though you can find historical monuments scattered all over the city, the The Golden Fort will immediately command your attention. Made of sand stones and locally known as Sonar Quila, the Jaisalmer Fort is a dominating structure amidst sands.
 

Patwon ki haveli: The Patwon Ji ki Haveli is an interesting piece of Architecture and is the most important among the havelis in Jaisalmer. This is precisely because of two things, first that it was the first haveli erected in Jaisalmer and second, that it is not a single haveli but a cluster of 5 small havelis. This is the largest Haveli in Jaisalmer and stands in a narrow lane. This haveli is presently occupied by the government, which uses it for various purposes. The office of the Archeological Survey of India and State art and craft department is situated in the haveli itself.
 

Salim singh ki haveli: Salim Singh ki haveli has been built on the remains of an older haveli built in the late 17th century. The new building was built in the year 1815 and was occupied by the Mehta family of Jaisalmer. The haveli has a distinct architecture. The roof has been constructed in the form of Peacock.
 
 
Nathmal ki haveli: This Nathmal Ji ki haveli was commissioned to serve as the residence of Diwan Mohata Nathmal, the then Prime Minister of Jaisalmer. Maharawal Beri Sal commissioned the construction of this Haveli. The architects of this haveli were Hathi and Lulu who happened to be brothers. There is a very interesting story regarding its construction.Thus the architecture present in this haveli is quite different from the one popular in other parts of Jaisalmer.

Day 02: Tour to Dangri Desert Safari Camps

After breakfast you will drop to Dangri desert safari camp to enjoy your day by performing proper guideline. After reach to camp they will welcomes you in traditional style and served tea/ Coffe with snacks or they will take you to camel ride for 1 Hour, after that they will provide several facilities, have lunch and rest for some hours, in the evening they will entertain you by performing Folk dance, Bornfire party, Enjoy warmth of bonfire and Rajasthani hospitality with snacks and Folk dances of Kalbelias, Gala dinner is followed by in dining area, Overnight stay in comfortable beds

How to reach Jaisalmer

By Flight: Jaisalmer does not have any airport within the city. The nearest airport to Jaisalmer is Jodhpur airport which is situated at a distance of around 275 kilometers. If you can reacvh Jaisalmer then you can reach Jodhpur first then you can easy to travel by road to Jaisalmer.

By Bus: Jaisalmer have good connectivity with nearest cities like Jodhpur, cUdaipur, Ahmedabad etc. you can reach Jaisalmer from nearest city in easy way.

By Train: Jaisalmer is connected with various cities through broad gauge and meter gauge railway tracks. There are direct trains from the cities of Delhi and Jaipur to Jaisalmer.

Best time to visit Jaisalmer

The best time to visit Jaisalmer is between October and March when the weather is great, the desert sun is not so hot and sand storms abate. This is the time you can enjoy the colourful festivals in Jaisalmer and royal events as well.

Monica Restaurant: The airy open-air dining rooms at Monica just about squeezes in a fort view, but if you end up at a non-view table, console yourself with the excellent veg and nonveg options. Meat from the tandoor is particularly well-flavoured and succulent, the thalis well-varied, and the salads fresh and clean.

Jaisal Italy: Just inside First Fort Gate, Jaisal Italy has a decent if unexciting vegetarian Italian men, including bruschetta, antipasti, pasta, pizza, salad and desserts, plus Spanish omelettes.
